Today at 8:30 am a bus picked us up in front of the university and drove us to the Western Community Hospital. There Dr. David Paynton held a presentation about the Southampton City Primary Care Trust and the NHS, it's history and business. After that, Sheila Brooke gave us some more information about the NHS Walk In Centres and then Fiona Baldwin and Judith May introduced us the Western Community Hospital. We also got a guide through the building and it's different wards. At times it was quite depressing to walk through it and feel the hospital ambience with it's old-fashioned and unconfortable style. I think that we all were glad to leave again at lunchtime.
